Rachel Talavera-Dean

Principal / Administrator

Rachel Talavera (Dean) was born and raised in Tuolumne County and attended Mother Lode Christian School from kindergarten through 12th grade.  Subsequently, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Azusa Pacific University. Shortly thereafter, Rachel moved to Costa Rica for language school, where she met and married her husband Ali Javier Talavera, and has been raising three children. Over the last 15 years teaching in international schools and living in Costa Rica, Rachel also earned a Master of Arts degree in International Teaching and will be finishing her second Masters in Educational Leadership this July through Framingham State University. Rachel is excited to return to her Tuolumne County roots as the new administrator at Mother Lode Christian School, and begin this new chapter with her family.  She is eager to join the dedicated team at Mother Lode and is confident that the Lord will faithfully lead in this new era.
