Greetings from the Director

Greetings! I am so excited to be able to work at such an incredible school. Mother Lode Christian Preschool was first licensed in 1993. MLCS began the preschool as a ministry to the children’s families that were enrolled in the elementary school. The childcare center was included on the same campus but situated in the rear of the school property. The preschool began with only 12 children and care was offered to the families that already attended MLCS. The preschool has grown! We are now licensed for 45 and offer an enriched preschool learning program to our community.

We offer 3 classes; the Ladybug class is where our tiny 2-year old’s begin their journey on learning to treat others with kindness. Treating others how we want to be treated is not always easy. Our littles have big emotions and require many hugs, a few gentle reminders and lots of high fives with a great job! I love that we are a Christian preschool because we are able to share daily bible lessons and teach our kids who God is, that he loves us, and how we can live that pleases him. Being able to pray with our kids is such a blessing in today’s world.

Our 2nd class is our Caterpillar class. This class is made for 3 1/2- to 4-year-olds. This age group is beginning to use their imaginations and creating strong friendships. They are taking tools from their previous year and forming lasting friends. They are learning how to follow directions, make decisions, and take care of their own needs. Of course, this is all going on while they are discovering this amazing world God created and that he created it for us. They are learning letter and number recognition and counting is always important as they make sure everyone has the same number of blocks to play with.

Our 3rd class is our Butterfly class. These are our big kids. They are 4–5-year old’s and they have learned so much and are ready to conquer the world. They are still learning so much but they are ready to begin writing their alphabet, drawing pictures that tell a story, help their friends and work as a team. Our Pre-K class is amazing. There is never a dull moment and there is never a quiet moment except for naptime. With kindergarten readiness and ELA filling each day there is still time for science experiments, cooking with parents, active learning centers, and one of their favorite times is being able to play on the elementary field with the large climbing structures and slides. Also, the basketball hoops and the large field they can run and throw balls.

I love our preschool. We are blessed with great families, Godly teachers, and the best children in the world!

Mother Lode Christian Preschool

Welcome to MLCP! We are dedicated to loving and teaching each child in the name of Jesus. From our smallest ladybugs to our biggest butterflies. MLCP kids experience many activities and interactions that supply each child with exactly what they need to learn and grow. Each class centers on age level develop-mentally appropriate activities to enrich and strengthen the child’s emotional-social skills, physical growth, and spiritual well-being. Teachers regularly work together across the classes in planning to ensure that every child is receiving adequate instruction and guidance necessary for the growth of the “whole child,” which prepares each child in becoming academically successful. Emphasis is placed on multisensory learning, physical activities using fine and large motor skills, positive social interactions, healthy nutrition, and proper self-care. We partner with parents to ensure our kids are happy and healthy while learning.
