DIRECTOR
CHERYL CICERO
I have worked as preschool director at Mother Lode Christian since 2021. I feel very blessed to be a part of an awesome team of Godly women. I have an AS degree in Child Development and a BA in Liberal Arts. I have worked in the childcare field for the past 40 years. I have taught every level of child development from infancy to Pre-K. I am married and have 6 children and 14 grandchildren. I feel very blessed to have taught preschool to every one of them!
My love for children started early in life. After having my first child at 20, I realized how much fun it was to watch God’s little one’s grow, explore, and learn. With a gifting of an abundance amount of patience and a love for children, I realized my calling in life was to work with children.
I believe that children are gifts from God and special in his eyes. I believe every child has gifts and talents they are born with and it is our job as teachers to spot these gifts and foster their growth by providing a stimulating atmosphere filled with encouragement and opportunity. I also believe in living a Christian life in front of the children so they learn through our modeling the fruits of the spirit which are love, patience, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Children have taught me so much about the world and how important it is to enjoy the simple pleasures such as to smell the roses, paint on the sidewalks, jump in the puddles, and laugh out loud, often!
